Bureau Veritas certification gained for training courses

Customers frequently express their struggle to recruit personnel with suitable competence within the area of HVAC/R. The need for training courses is needed/required due to either, regulation and/or good practice to reduce costly breakdowns and repairs. These three issues combined, enable compliance with regulatory requirements, improve efficiency, reduce operating cost and achieve trouble free operation.

Many companies are offering training to the marine industry in various forms and the quality is somewhat a challenge to determine. Training is commonly divided in three categories: regulatory requirements, knowledge awareness and competence development.

To ensure quality training is achieved, it is best to utilize a provider accredited by a leading classification society and member of IACS (International Association of Classification Societies).

BSR Solutions has achieved “Certificate of Compliance of Quality Management Systems of Maritime Training Institutes” awarded by Bureau Veritas. The following courses are included:

  • EPA training & certification, Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Program, to regulation CAA (Clean Air Act) Title VI, Section 608, as per required by 40 CFR part 82, Subpart F
  • Basic marine refrigeration & fundamentals, complies with STCW, AIII/1 – AIII/2
  • HVAC/R maintenance & operation, complies with STCW, AIII/1 – AIII/2
